Research appointments

Research Associate, Abdominal Imaging and AI · Department of Radiology, Shariati Hospital, Tehran University of Medical Sciences Jan 2024 – present

Supervisor: Prof Amir Reza Radmard. International collaboration with UCL/Motilent partners.

  • Led quantitative MRE research in IBD with a focus on ulcerative colitis: GIQuant motility, bowel wall activity markers, chronicity features, and segment-level validation against endoscopy.
  • Coordinated collaboration with Motilent and academic partners, aligning feature definitions, QC, and analysis plans across sites.
  • Built reproducible data and modelling pipelines integrating imaging, structured radiology features, narrative reports, and clinical or laboratory endpoints.
  • Developed report-structured workflows, including LLM-assisted extraction where appropriate, to support scalable research data capture from routine radiology text.

Research Assistant, Imaging and Clinical Data Science · Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences Sep 2022 – Dec 2023

  • Supported CT and MRI research projects spanning protocol review, dataset construction, and statistical analysis.
  • Performed diagnostic pathway analyses integrating imaging and clinical data to evaluate system-level outcomes.
  • Contributed to PanCanAID-related pipelines including curated datasets and semi-automated CT segmentation workflows.
